The Institute’s Faith-Inspiring Exploration of France, May 2024

While both the Chartres pilgrimage and the Shrines tour are currently full, names are still being accepted to be included on a waitlist. Inclusion on the waitlist does not guarantee placement on the final pilgrimage/tour lists.

All members of our Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest family are invited to join others from across the U.S. Province in an extraordinary two-part pilgrimage to France, May 2024. Pilgrims are welcome to take part in one or both opportunities.

Be a  part of our Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest’s walking group in the 2024 Chartres Pentecost Pilgrimage, May 15 through 20. This three-day, 60-mile hike (two nights camping) from the Church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris to Notre-Dame Cathedral in Chartres traces its origins to Medieval times when pilgrims began making the trek to the Cathedral in Chartres to venerate the veil of Our Lady which was — and still is — kept there. Today, the Chartres Pentecost Pilgrimage is the largest annual traditional Catholic event in the world, drawing more than 16,000 participants from all across the globe.  You can get a feel for the experience by watching this short video.

Please note that, while beautiful and inspiring, the Chartres Pilgrimage is quite physically demanding. If you believe you are or will be physically fit to walk the 60 miles from Paris to Chartres and have prayerfully decided to participate, we will happily register you to be a part of the Institute walking group. Pilgrims will be responsible for their own flight and hotel reservations. If you have questions or are ready to register, contact Mr. Lincoln Oro of St. Stanislaus Oratory in Milwaukee at This email address is being protected from spambots. For those who are able, we sincerely hope you will consider joining us on one or both parts of this once-in-a-lifetime journey of faith: the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest’s ’s exploration of France, May 2024.

Please note, there are limited spaces. The Chartres Pentecost Pilgrimage and the Shrines of France Pilgrimage are limited to 50 participants each. To avoid disappointment, register early. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
