On Sunday, January 6, the Feast of the Epiphany, after the 12:30 Mass Canon Ueda will bless chalk and distribute it so the head of each household can follow the tradition of blessing the home by marking the door lintel or the riser on the top front step with: 20 + C + M + B + 19. The Mass and music of Mission Days returned to Mission Santa Clara on the evening before Thanksgiving, November 21, 2018, when Canon Ueda, chaplain of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Oratory in San José, celebrated a sung High Mass at the Mission Santa Clara's otherwise mostly-unused main altar for the first time in anyone’s memory. The music sung that night was the same music taught by the friars to the converted native Americans at the California Missions.

High Mass for Canonization of Father Magin Catalá

Canon Raphael Ueda, Chaplain of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Oratory in San José will celebrate a High Mass and pray for the Canonization of Father Magin Catalá, O.F.M. at 6:30 p.m. on November 21, the evening before Thanksgiving, at Mission Santa Clara on the Santa Clara University campus.
