Building Our Provincial Shrine: Restoration Continues as Floor is Poured

 
A large milestone for the restoration of the Shrine took place in the beginning of March with the pouring of the floor slab in the church.

 The radiant heating was laid out in the narthex, and then concrete was poured and finished over the top of it.

One side of the church was first poured.  This process was continued for the other side of the church.

Part 1 of Phase II provided a 6” thick, structural concrete slab to the church’s narthex, nave, sanctuary, and basement as a foundation for the subsequent steps in Phase II.
