On Saturday, a group of faithful came to pray before the shuttered church. Sunday Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on 5472 S. Kimbark Ave., Chicago. On Sunday afternoon, at 2:30pm, everyone is invited to gather on the sidewalks outside the Shrine of Christ the King church (6415 South Woodlawn Ave). At 3:00pm there will be a Sunday prayer rally for Resurrection. Neighborhood friends and residents are invited to join the Shrine congregation in hymns and prayers for our local community. We stand united as together we rise up from the ashes of this tragic hour, like generations of Chicagoans have done before us.
