We were already deeply grateful to His Eminence, Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke, when he agreed to journey all the way from the Vatican to celebrate the Mass of the tenth anniversary of the consecration of St. Mary's Oratory in Wausau, Wisconsin. But to this the people of St. Mary's must add their gratitude that His Eminence graciously agreed to administer the Sacrament of Confirmation on this same occasion. On May 31, His Eminence confirmed 53 young members of our apostolates in Wausau and Cashton in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. In his sermon to the confirmandi, His Eminence reminded them how essential the grace of this Sacrament would be to them in a world which is ever more hostile to the faith of Jesus Christ.

May these young soldiers of Christ be filled with the gifts of the Holy Ghost, and may they be ever mindful of His Eminence Cardinal Burke in their prayers.
