Walk for Life West Coast, January 22

The Oakland and San Jose Apostolate will walk together again to be a witness for life.

After the 10am Low Mass, we head out and meet at SF Civic Center North Playground.

The plan is for the walk to begin at 12:30 pm from the San Francisco Civic Center Plaza and conclude at the Embarcadero Plaza less than 2 miles away, as usual.

Please follow SF City health regulations. This includes:
1. Wearing a face covering.
2. Maintaining a distance of 6 feet between you and anyone not of your household.
3. No singing, chanting, or shouting except by 1 designated person (The organizers have already chosen a speaker for the walk.).

The organizers have also requested that each person planning to attend signs up on one of the following links, so they can know how many people to expect. Please sign up either on this google form as soon as you know you are planning to attend.

It is also important for you to know there will be no food or drink provided by the organizers. Each individual household is encouraged to bring some water and snacks for the walk. Please also be attentive to the weather forecast for the walk to ensure you are properly clothed for the walk.

Please organize your own transportation to and from our meeting point and the end of the walk.

Lastly, there is a possibility that unforeseen circumstances could cancel the Walk for Life West Coast, so be prepared for any last minute changes or cancellation.

SMM and SJ group photo will be taken at the end of Walk.

Hope to see everyone there!

REMINDERS:

Parking: Cars may not under any circumstance be driven on the Plaza. Park under the plaza or in a legal street space, and carry your items to your table. I suggest roller luggage to facilitate easier transportation. Police will ticket parking violators. Surrounding streets will be closed until people have cleared the plaza after the rally, so you will not be able to get out of your parking spot immediately. Park farther if that is an issue, or arrange to be dropped off.

New this year: the city of SF has new and very strict regulations regarding trash. They are requiring us to sort garbage, recycles, and compost, into separate bins. Your help and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

Tables and chairs are provided as usual, so do not bring your own.

You may not have anything taller than eye level on top of your table.

You are expected to abide by the code of conduct, attached. Failure to do so may ban you from being a vendor in the future.

Nothing may be sold at your table. You may offer items for a suggested donation, if you wish.
