The beautiful feast of the Assumption of Our Lady was celebrated with additional joy at St. Stanislaus oratory as parishioners were privileged to host a visit of the International Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima statue. The evening High Mass for the feast of the Assumption was offered before an overflow congregation as the Virgin looked on.
Guest priest, Fr. Erik Ross, O.P., offered an inspiring sermon which emphasized Our Lady’s faithfulness, purity and humility, for which the Assumption was God's reward.
After Mass, the Pilgrim Virgin was carried in procession around the neighborhood as parishioners held luminaries and sang hymns in Her praise in a beautiful public witness of faith and love of Our Lady.
At the procession’s completion, Larry Maginot, custodian of the Pilgrim Virgin statue gave a beautiful talk recounting the history of the Lady’s appearances at Fatima and outlining Her message of peace, hope and salvation.
An uninterrupted flow of graces and favors have been reported wherever the statue has traveled, and St. Stanislaus is no exception. Young and old alike were deeply moved by this lovely evening celebration.
“…God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.” -- Our Lady of Fatima
