Sacraments at St. Leo's

Confirmations

On Saturday, May 2nd 2026, the Oratory of St. Leo the Great was honored to receive the Most Reverend Earl K. Fernandes, Bishop of Columbus, to confer the Sacrament of Confirmation upon more than fifty young men and women of the parish. Bishop Fernandes was welcomed by St. Leo's Rector Canon Silvey, and also Reverend Canon Talarico, the Provincial Superior of the Institute in the United States.

The church was teeming with parents, relatives, and friends, who enjoyed a beautiful and grace-filled ceremony, replete with sacred music put on by the choir and the organist (and even a guest trumpeteer). Afterwards, there was a reception in the parish hall in celebration of the occasion.

First Holy Communions

On Trinity Sunday, May 31st 2026, a number of boys and girls of St. Leo's Oratory received their First Holy Communion. Again, a reception followed to celebrate this wonderful occasion of the reception of our most august Sacrament.
