The Society of the Sacred Heart National Retreat was held June 7-8 in Milwaukee and Burlington, Wisconsin. The Society members and discerning members were treated to a visual and audio feast at stunning St. Stanislaus Oratory in Milwaukee where all the retreat liturgies took place. During the time at St. Stanislaus, retreatants also attended a grand reception as well as the main retreat conference delivered by Institute of Christ the King prior general, Msgr. Gilles Wach.

On the second day, retreatants pilgrimaged to the new Sacred Heart Retreat Center in Burlington, Wisconsin. Retreatants received tours of the Center conducted by the clerical staff and attended the afternoon conference delivered by Dr. James Sutherland, Governor General of the Society in the United States.

In a historical moment for the Society of the Sacred Heart, as well as for the new Sacred Heart Retreat Center, 33 new members were received in the currently unrenovated main church. The church was beautifully transformed for the occasion. With great joy, Msgr. Wach vested the new members in the Cross of St. Francis de Sales with the Governor General and several Canons and Oblates assisting. The investiture ended with Benediction.  The Sister Adorers, stationed at the Convent of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wausau, Wisconsin, were also present during the retreat. It was a profoundly grace-filled weekend.
