SHRC Phase I alterations and construction moves forward!  Berghammer Construction and trades persons will be mobilized onsite; targeting a mid-November start for selective demolition.

 Other key updates include:

* The mechanical, electric/plumbing contractors were selected, Roman Electric and Mid-City Corporation for Electric and Plumbing/HVAC respectively. They have been working through their final designs.
* Barrientos Design & Consulting completed the construction documents for bidding in August. In turn, Berghammer issued the bid documents for bid solicitation early September.
* State plan review  was applied for in August and conditional approval was received to proceed.
* Berghammer applied for the building permit with the City of Burlington.
* Abatement removal of the old flooring began in October.
* Site security is being enhanced with a new front entrance gate.
* Working with Barrientos and the Sacred Heart Retreat Center the past month, Berghammer helped guide and direct value engineered changes focused on finding an optimal balance between cost, reliability, quality, safety, and performance in products, materials and planned services to reduce unnecessary expenses.
* The Final Budget was completed, and we are very pleased to say that it meets expectations.
* A detailed project schedule was created, and the long lead items have started to be approved and procured. Project completion for Phase I is July ’25.
* Berghammer will assess the status in construction prior to the November 16 ‘Taste of Gricigliano’ Dinner/Auction to allow attendees the opportunity to see initial progress.

We are excited to have this project beginning and look forward to updating the continued progress!
