All are invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony that will take place at Sacred Heart Retreat Center in Burlington, Wisconsin, on Saturday, September 13th, at 10:00 am. This ceremony will celebrate the completion of the Phase One renovations of the retreat center, marking the opening of the retreat center thanks to your generous prayers and support.

All who come will be able to visit the newly restored areas of Sacred Heart Retreat Center where retreats for the coming year will take place. Light refreshments will be provided.

Construction Updates

The time for completion of Phase I has finally arrived! What a glorious journey this has been. We will be closing our 10th and final month of construction. Final punch list items are being done on all floors. All areas are being cleaned, and the HVAC and Electrical system is being put through its paces for final inspection. Soon, we will be moving in furniture and other hospitality items for occupancy.

1st floor 1930’s wing.
* West Hermitage is getting paint touchups.

1st floor 1950’s wing.
* Last sections of new flooring.
* Welcoming area is being finished. 
* Conference rooms have the new audio/visual system. 

2nd floor 1930’s wing.
* West Offices are getting paint touchups

2nd floor 1950’s wing. 
* The Lecture Hall has the new audio/visual system.

2nd and 3rd floor 1930’s wing.
* Last coat of stain on the original 1930s wood floors.

2nd and 3rd floor 1950s wing. 
* Finishing touchups.

3rd floor 1930’s wing. 
* West Dignitary Suites final cleaning.

The Refectory is having its period light fixtures upgraded with LED light bulbs and polycarbonate lenses for improved energy efficiency.
