Novena for Vocations

"The harvest indeed is great, but the labourers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth labourers into his harvest." (Mt. 9:37-38)

Join us in praying a novena for holy vocations to the priesthood and oblatehood, from September 29, feast of Saint Michael the Archangel, up to October 7, feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.

O Jesus, Eternal High Priest, I offer Thee through Thine Immaculate Mother Mary, Thine own Precious Blood, in all the Masses throughout the world, as petition for graces for all priests, oblates, and seminarians of the Institute of Christ the King.

We come to Thee with great confidence as our Eternal High Priest and Immaculate Victim and we humbly beseech Thee: send many holy priests and oblates into Thy harvest, and protect and strengthen the vocations which Thou hast called.

Give them humility, meekness, prudence, and a burning zeal for souls. Fill their hearts with the gifts of the Holy Ghost. Teach them to know and love the Church, which thou hast entrusted the Archangel Michael to defend. May they always and everywhere speak, act, and think with her, the glorious spouse of Christ. Teach them generosity and detachment from worldly goods; but above all, teach them to know Thee and to love the One and Only Eternal Priest, good Shepherd of Souls. Amen.
