At 6 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, our parish's tradition of celebrating a predawn "Rorate Mass" by candlelight in honor of Our Lady in Advent continued for its sixth year. For the second time, we were able to have a Solemn Mass.
“Rorate” comes from the Introit of the Votive Mass of Our Lady during Advent:
“Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant justum, aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem.”
“Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just: let the earth be opened and bud forth a Saviour.”
