Parish COVID-19 case

A parishioner who attended the 11:30 a.m. High Mass on Sunday, August 23rd later began experiencing symptoms associated with the Coronavirus. The person has since tested positive for COVID-19. Fortunately, this parishioner was wearing a mask in church, and did not report any close contact with other parishioners. The individual is following the recommendations of a physician, the guidelines of CDC, and the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Health Departments. Please pray for a speedy recovery, and that the virus was not transmitted to anyone else.

The parish has rigorously complied with CDC guidelines since public Masses were reinstated — volunteers clean and sanitize all surfaces after each use of the Church. In addition, the parish continues to follow all diocesan, local, state, and federal health and safety directives. In that regard, please be sure to maintain social distancing when entering the Church, in the pews, and at the Communion rail, and keep your mask on while on site.

If you have concerns about your health, we encourage you to contact your health care provider and share these details.

Thank you for your continued patience, support, and prayer during these challenging times. It is truly a team effort that allows our continued public Masses and access to the Blessed Sacrament. Thank you especially to those volunteers and parishioners for their efforts to ensure a safe environment for all of us.
