Beginning with the imposition of the stole by Bishop David Zubik at the entrance to the church, Canon William Avis was formally installed as the first pastor of Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish on Sunday, August 4, 2019.
Canon Avis' Profession of Faith and Oath of Fidelity were followed by a ceremony in which the new pastor was led by the bishop to the tabernacle, to ring the sanctuary bells, to open the church doors, and then to the baptistmal font, a confessional, and the pulpit.
Following his installation, Canon Avis celebrated a Solemn Mass, with Canon Matthew Talarico acting as deacon and Canon John O'Connor as subdeacon.
