With most of the attendees from our Oratory and the Oakland apostolate, there were also 18 other parishes from around the Bay Area represented.
The afternoon began with the Holy Rosary, led by Canon Ueda, followed by his talk on St. John Bosco. Anthony Lilles, S.T.D., our keynote speaker, delivered a poignant message about holding fast to our Catholic Faith during these turbulent times. Touching upon a growing desire among Catholics wanting to show the reverence due to our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, Dr. Lilles reminded the faithful that we are in the middle of this revival that will take time. He consoled the attendees with the thought that, if we take one step towards Jesus, He will come running to us as in the parable of the Prodigal Son.
We are grateful to Fr. James Okafor at SFC Parish for hosting our event, and we hope to bring the faithful in the Diocese of San Jose more spiritually enriching events like this in the future.
