After the noon Mass on the First Friday of the month and on every Friday during Lent, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Oratory prays the Stations of the Cross in our host church, Five Wounds Portuguese National Church in San José, CA. At the close, the faithful venerate a relic of the Holy Cross.
Photos from the Stations of the Cross on April 5, the Friday before Passion Sunday 2019, are posted in this gallery. As you can see in the photos, our Lenten Stations of the Cross are enriched by the presence in the church of many emotionally moving larger-than-life-sized statues of Our Lord's Passion. The 104 year old processional statues are displayed in the church every year during the week before Passion Sunday.
