The annual Oblate Retreat for the oblates of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest took place at St. Francis de Sales Oratory in St. Louis, Missouri from Monday September 23rd to Thursday September 26th, 2019. Oblates from the American apostolates as well as from a German apostolate were in attendance and gleaned much from the silent retreat preached by Canon Matthew Talarico and Canon Aaron Huberfeld. The oblates recited the Divine office every day and had ample time for rest and spiritual renewal. On Friday, the 7 oblates and 4 oblate candidates went to the Shrine of St. Joseph and then enjoyed a meal together. How grateful we faithful are to have these hard working men in our apostolates. They tirelessly labor and serve our Lord, our priests and all of us in so many visible and invisible ways. Thanks be to God for them and may He bless them and all of their endeavors at each of their apostolates.
