ABOUT THE SHRINE

On July 1, 2025, the feast of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus, with the spiritual good of the faithful of the Diocese of Saint Petersburg in mind, the Most Reverend Gregory Parkes erected Epiphany of Our Lord Shrine and entrusted the pastoral care of the faithful and administration of the Shrine to the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. 

The proper purposes of Epiphany of Our Lord Shrine are to: 

- Provide more abundant means of salvation for the pilgrims coming to the Shrine through the rich liturgical and devotional life of the Roman Catholic Church. 

- Appropriately foster the Church’s Divine Worship through the celebration of the Eucharist and penance and other Sacraments; and, promote approved forms of popular piety.

- Foster appreciation of the Liturgical Tradition of the Roman Rite as celebrated according to the Missale Romanum of 1962 and its complementary liturgical books.

- Through the ministry of the Institute of Christ the King, provide for the spiritual and pastoral care for the faithful and the administration of the Shrine.
