Dear friends and faithful of St. Anthony Oratory,

As many of you may have heard, the Archdiocese of Newark will be allowing the celebration of public Masses beginning Monday June 15th. Therefore, this coming Monday and for the remainder of the week, Mass will be offered at 9am at St. Anthony. Please note that for this coming week we will NOT be having a Tuesday evening Mass or a Thursday evening adoration hour. A second Mass will however will be offered at 7pm on Friday June 19th, for the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Sunday Masses will resume June 21st at the regular times. It may be necessary to utilize some form of registration so as to avoid uneven turnouts. Information on this will be forthcoming.

I recommend to your prayers the repose of the soul of Colette Forrester who, after battling cancer for many months, passed on to eternity yesterday evening. She commonly attended the 9am Sunday Mass. May she and all the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace.

Yours truly in Christ the King,

Canon Brian Bovee

God Bless!

We will be streaming Low Mass from the Oratory on Facebook tomorrow at 6:30am (will be available all day). The obligation of attending Mass has been suspended for Sundays and Holy Day in the diocese of Newark.

Beginning tomorrow the Oratory will be open daily from 8am to 10am (except Sundays 10:30am -12pm). All typical civil restrictions as required elsewhere will still apply, particularly a maximum of 10 persons at one given time.

To facilitate a better flow of adorers, a simple on-line form is available to view availability and ‘sign-up’ for a time slot. This will help prevent the disappointments which may occur by having too many persons arriving at any one given time. Please use the website calendar found by clicking on the CALENDAR tab above.
As with all things in this life, patience is vital. We ask for your forbearance as we work with the conditions that have been allotted to us by Divine Providence.

God Bless!

SEMINARY COLLECTION GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY

While the virus is affecting many worldwide, there is one thing which we can be thankful for. This is the fact that due to the nature of our seminary, classes, prayer, and work, continue almost as usual for most of our seminarians.

Typically we would have our semi-annual Seminary Collection today, however this is clearly not possible. However if the Lord has placed you in the position to do so, please consider keeping up the formation of our future priests by contributing to this cause. Thank you very much in advance.

Sunday Mass at St. Anthony is scheduled for 9am and will be streamed live on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/StAnthonyOratory/ . We will be praying the Holy Rosary at 10:30am.
God Bless!

In compliance with Gov. Murphy's most recent mandate "... putting New Jersey into a virtual lockdown... ordering New Jerseyans to stay at home except for necessary trips and mandating that non-essential retail businesses closed until further notice, and others have people work from home."  as well as to comply with the directives of the West Orange Police Department, St. Anthony Oratory will remain CLOSED tomorrow, Sunday March 22, 2020. Consequently, there will be no adoration or confessions available tomorrow. Please pray that the Lord will soon show a way to give all access to the sacraments.

For those wishing to use the video streaming (link below), please note the Chicago streaming Mass schedule for Sunday is 7:00am and 11:30am

God Bless!

Cardinal Tobin has joined his fellow bishops in suspending all public Masses and all liturgical celebrations until further notice. This of course includes Sundays, and Holy Days, as well as other special services (Stations of the Cross, Thursday Holy Hour, etc.) All the faithful, of course, are dispensed from attending Holy Mass on Sundays and Holy Days, but are encouraged to keep the Sabbath holy through prayer, spiritual exercises, and reading.
All requested Mass intentions will be offered on their scheduled dates. A simplified weekly bulletin will continue to be published and made available on our webpage (https://www.institute-christ-king.org/bulletins-westorange) in which these Mass intentions will be listed.
The US province of the Institute is working to provide live streaming of daily and Sunday Mass from many of our apostolates. When the various Institute apostolate live streaming come online, they will all be accessible through this web link https://www.institute-christ-king.org/videostream (PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS IN CT [CENTRAL TIME ZONE]).  Please save this link in your browser for future reference.
There will be a forthcoming updates concerning Sunday adoration at St. Anthony and live streaming once details are finalized.

God Bless!
