The Hispanic members of St. Stanislaus hosted a beautiful celebration of feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the evening of December 12.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was offered by Canon Erwan Josseaume. His sermon, expounding the generosity of God in sending His beloved Mother to the people of Mexico in 1531 thereby consecrating the Americas to her care, was offered in both English and Spanish under the gaze of the miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. After Mass, Canon offered a blessing to all expectant mothers present and parishioners laid flowers at the feet of Our Lady.
Following Mass, a marvelous and inspiring re-enactment of the visions of Our Lady of Guadalupe by Juan Diego was presented in the parish hall.
Finally, everyone enjoyed a lively mariachi band and feasted on traditional Mexican foods.
“Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection?" Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!
