Nineteen Troops of St. George senior cadets, 15 fathers, and their chaplain, Canon Erwan Josseaume, caravanned to South Dakota for their annual Troop 1683 Senior Trip, June 20th-23rd.
Their many adventures included Badlands National Park, Minuteman Missile National Historic Site, Wall Drug, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, and Keystone.
Lodging at the Terra Sancta Retreat Center in Rapid City, they began each day with the 6:00 AM Angelus prayer followed by Confession, the Rosary, and Mass. The retreat center offered many activities for the cadets including indoor and outdoor games, grilling, campfires, and an obstacle course.
Without the support from the parishioners of St. Stanislaus Oratory through donations and their annual wreath sale, trips like this and other great events would not happen.
Also, leave it to the Captain to find a new purple cowboy hat!
