2018 Registration is Open! Please Regsiter Today as Space is Limited.

The 2018 Institute of Christ the King Choir Camp will take place from Sunday, August 5 to Friday, August 10, 2018. Registration is open for choristers ages 10 -18. In the rolling hills of Maple Mount, Kentucky, the Ursuline Motherhouse in Mount St. Joseph will once again be the setting for our week-long workshop on Sacred Music. The generously hospitable facilities include air-conditioned classrooms and dormitories, a spacious dining hall and rehearsal rooms, and ample outdoor areas for organized recreational activities. (All activities are supervised by the camp counselors.)

In classes and workshops throughout the week, children of all skill levels are instructed in the execution of both Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony, vocal technique, music theory, musicianship, and either basic or advanced Latin. Spiritual Conferences are given by the attending Chaplain. In addition to the music program, the campers will also enjoy many fun sports and games activities guided by the camp counselors. Rosary walks and performance for the convalescing Ursuline sisters nearby are also part of the Camp routine, Daily Mass in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite is offered in the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel, where the excellent acoustic will be the backdrop of a Sung Mass by the campers at the conclusion of Camp on Friday morning.

This is the 9th annual Choir Camp offered by the Institute. Every year we are inspired and humbled by the capacity of the youngsters to appreciate, study, and apply the techniques they learn in performance of Sacred Music.  We heartily encourage benefactors to support the Choir Camp, and all interested families to register for camp as soon as possible. Space is limited.
