The Pittsburgh Marathon will disrupt traffic all over the city on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Although the race course does not come near our parish's location on California Ave., it surely will block the routes that some people normally take to Mass. The footrace begins at 7 a.m., but road closures begin earlier; of particular note, the West End Bridge will be closed to traffic from 6:00 to 10:15 a.m.

Deanna Shannon died on Wednesday afternoon, March 16, 2022. A Requiem Mass will be offered for Mrs. Shannon, wife of Charles, on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 9 a.m. at Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The Society of the Sacred Heart is a lay association within the spiritual family of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. Through membership in the Society of the Sacred Heart, lay faithful can participate in the spirituality of the Institute directed to expand the kingship of Our Blessed Lord in all realms of the Church and society under the patronage of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.

The Faithful may gain a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions by assisting at Holy Mass at the parish on Tuesday, March 7th, the Feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas, Patron of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.
A Low Mass will be offered at noon, and a Solemn Mass with procession at 7 p.m.
A venerable devotion during Lent is the Via Crucis or Way of the Cross. It is a great means to meditate on the Passion and Death of Our Lord. The Stations will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on the Fridays of Lent, followed by Mass at 7:15. On Good Friday, April 18, Stations will be at 11:00 a.m.
