An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that Thou art truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.
I love Thee above all things, and I long for Thee in my soul.
Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace Thee as though Thou has already come.
I unite myself entirely to Thee.
Never permit me to be separated from Thee by sin. Amen.

4th Sunday of Advent

In the penitential seasons of both Lent and Advent, the rubrics specify that the deacon and subdeacon wear the "folded chasuble" for Solemn Masses. These were seen on the 4th Sunday of Advent, along with the "broad stole."

The deacon wears the folded chasuble at the start and end of Mass, changing to the broad stole at the Gospel, and changing back after Communion. The subdeacon removes his folded chasuble to chant the Epistle.
