Dear Friends of the Institute,
Ordained to the priesthood on July 3, 2008 by His Eminence Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, he exercised his priestly ministry in Wausau, in the diocese of La Crosse (United States), then in Oakland (United States) and finally in Mouila (Gabon).
Through his tireless work and great zeal, he was able to give new life to our mission in Mouila. He established a school, a dispensary and an orphanage.
Having contracted Covid in the spring of 2021, he had to be hospitalized for a long time. Many of you prayed for his recovery. After his miraculous recovery, his health became very fragile.
Deeply grateful for the spiritual support you have generously offered him, I now ask you to pray for the repose of his priestly soul. May he who gave his life in the service of Holy Mother Church within the family of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest now receive the eternal reward promised to those who labor in the vineyard of Our Blessed Lord.
I also entrust the family of Canon Fragelli to your prayers in this time of sorrow, as well as all those who are afflicted by his passing.
Throughout this holy season of Lent, may our Mother of Sorrows strengthen us all in the hope of the Resurrection of her divine Son and in the joyful expectation of the heavenly life to come.
Requiescat in pace.
In Christo Rege,
Msgr. Gilles Wach
Prior General

As in years past, a big “thank you” to Thomas and Diana Henriksson for generously restarting a venerable tradition here at St. Margaret Mary’s: Lenten Prayer Cards for Seminarians. Prayer cards will be distributed in the vestibule after the 7 am and 12:30 pm Masses this Sunday, February 19. Your prayers are so important for these young men. It is requested to recite one decade of the Rosary each day (or even 5 decades, for those who are able) for the seminarian on your card. Oakland Apostolate Community!

Novena Prayer to the Immaculate Conception
November 29-December 7
O MOST HOLY VIRGIN who wast pleasing to God and didst become His Mother. Immaculate in thy body, in thy soul, in thy faith and in thy love, we beseech thee to look graciously upon the wretched who implore thy powerful protection. The wicked serpent, against whom the primal curse was hurled, continues nonetheless to wage war and to lay snares for the unhappy children of Eve.
Ah, do thou, our blessed Mother, our Queen and Advocate, who from the first instant of thy conception didst crush the head of our enemy, receive the prayers that we unite single-heartedly to thine and conjure thee to offer at the throne of God, that we may never fall into the snares that are laid for us, in such wise that we may all come to the haven of salvation; and in the midst of so many dangers may holy Church and the fellowship of Christians everywhere sing once more the hymn of deliverance, victory and peace. Amen.
(Pope St. Pius X)
